Inhaltszusammenfassung:

Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Struktur und dem Betrieb von VuFind, das eine bibliographische Suchmaschine darstellt. VuFind wird als Open-Source-Projekt entwickelt und mittlerweile von mehreren hundert Bibliotheken weltweit genutzt. Außerdem wird SolrMarc, ein Teilprojekt von VuFind, analysiert und überarbeitet, wodurch die Effizienz dieses Programmes erhöht wird.
